If a solar or battery project does not make sense for you, we will be the first to let you know.

A residential solar system is a setup that utilizes photovoltaic (PV) panels installed on rooftops or in open areas to convert sunlight into electricity. This clean, renewable energy can power your home, reduce your dependence on the grid, and save on electricity bills.

A solar battery system stores excess electricity generated by your solar panels for later use, typically during peak hours or at night. By adding a battery system, you can store surplus energy and use it during periods of low sunlight or power outages, maximizing your energy self-consumption and reducing reliance on the grid.

Installing a residential solar system offers several benefits, including:

   – Reduced electricity bills

   – Lower carbon footprint

   – Energy independence

   – Increased property value

   – Potential government incentives and tax credits

The cost of a solar and battery system varies based on factors such as system size, battery capacity, location, and installation. While costs have decreased in recent years, it’s best to obtain quotes from reputable solar installers to get accurate pricing for your specific needs.

Yes, a solar battery system allows you to store excess energy generated during sunny days, which you can use during cloudy periods or at night when the solar panels are not actively producing electricity. This helps maintain a stable power supply for your home.

The capacity of your solar system determines how much electricity it can generate. While it’s possible to power an entire home with solar energy, the extent depends on factors like system size, your energy consumption, and geographical location. Some homeowners might choose to install a solar system that covers only a portion of their energy needs, while others aim for full energy independence.

No, we do not provide financing.  Your own bank or most local credit unions give honest rates, with no predatorial fees. Stay away from the so-called national green financing companies who try to trick you with great terms while they secretly add an exorbitant ‘dealer fees’.

No. It’s counterintuitive, but important to know that solar alone cannot power your home during an outage. You must have a battery and special Generac inverter that is required to disconnect from the grid to protect repair workers from potential harm.

Yes. The recently-passed Inflation Reduction Act boosts the clean energy tax credit back to its full 30%, and this also now applies to home batteries alone, without solar. These incentives make solar + battery installations surprisingly affordable. Also, many regions offer financial incentives to encourage residential solar and battery adoption. Washington State waives sales tax on clean energy projects.

The installation time can vary depending on the system’s size and complexity. On average, it takes about one to three days for a standard residential solar system installation. Additional time may be needed for battery installation or if any upgrade is required on your service panel.

Solar panels are generally low-maintenance. Washington State rainfall does a very good job of regularly cleaning panels. In dry climates, periodic cleaning to remove dust and debris and occasional inspections by a professional are usually sufficient. Some solar systems come with monitoring tools to track performance and identify any issues proactively.

Solar panels are warranted and guaranteed for a minimum of 25 years. Inverters and batteries are warranted for 10 Years.
